UNO COMMUNICATIONS CENTRE IN QUART DE POBLET

The design fulfils the design requirements for offices, data centre and car park given by the Project Statement of Requirements issued by the United Nations. It strictly complies with the specified structural security parameters for installations under threat of terrorist attack and explosion hazards.

The two office buildings will host the conference rooms, offices, training rooms, service areas and medical facilities  arranged according to open-plan office.

Their structural elements organize the area plastically avoiding rigid geometries that would either freeze the plant layout or overuse the geometry of the circumference whilst aiming at the most flexiblesetting up. Looking for spatial lightness and continuity with the outer space, the structure has been set back while the cubicles and partitions are chosen not to interrupt the facade.
