Project details

Technical Data

  • Total length: 196 m
  • Main spans: 98 m
  • Width: 14 m
  • Height of pylon: 36 m

Description

The bridge is composed of two identical 98 m spans supported on a central pier with an eminently monumental and sculptural appearance and two similar sized lateral abutments. The bridge attempts to establish a coherent correlation betweenthe structure and its surroundings.

In structural terms the bridge may be classified as an intermediate solution between a cable-stayed bridge and a tied-arch and could be classified as a semi-stayed bridge as it contains a reduced number of cables which are led from the pylon over a relatively short area.

The deck is formed by a composite box  section, which is single cell or double cell according to area, and covered in this latter  area by a translucent polycarbonate laminate with internal illumination from the deck.
