Description

Composite structure with rigid connections at steel columns which enable large spans and provide the minimum clearances so to allow the insertion of an additional floor meeting the regulatory  building height requirements. The lower basement floors are arranged in a stepped formation by means of intermediate floors and ensure the transfer of the soil pressure from perimetric foundation walls which were provisionally held in place by  tie-backs anchored into the soil.

As an additional compositive and functional motif of the facade, several columns are merged through an inclined column arrangement to allow fewer larger columns in the lowest stories of the shopping centre area.

The weathering steel facade provides the building with a strong structural and functional appearance and emphasizes its powerful architectural image.
