CORDOBA CONFERENCE CENTRE

Description

The structures of these architectural bodiesincorporate a number of imposing features of certain structural complexity. The two conference halls cantilever out from a longitudinal structure connecting the entire complex. This narrow body also presents areas of high structural demand:

-The corridor of rooms and halls is set skewly to a road passing below it. This raised structure requires large composite Vierendeel systems in order to keep the area free from obstacles and ensure the functionality of the building.

-At the extremity of the main body, a large cantilever structure is supporting the swimming pool of the hotel which is hanging over another road running alongside the centre.

Suitably structured composite  systems will beused to transform these design proposals into a very compact and harmonious assembly which fulfils the functional and load-bearing requirement.
